Children's Day in Portsmouth, Parking Restrictions
The city will have certain parking restrictions from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 4.
It's Children's Day in Portsmouth on Sunday, May 4, and the city will have some parking restrictions downtown to make room for all the fun.
No parking will be allowed from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on these street sections May 4, per the order of Portsmouth Police Chief Stephen DuBois:
- Pleasant Street between State Street and Market Square.
- Church Street
- Parking lot at the corner of Market and Hanover streets
- Market Street from the Market and Bow street intersection to the Isles of Shoals Steamship Co.
Vehicles still parked at these locations on Sunday, May 4, at 11 a.m. will be towed at the owner's expense, according to the city.
The parking garage will have a flat rate of $3 between the hours of 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. on May 4 for the event.
