City Bars Toast St. Patrick's Day
Several downtown restaurants and bars were packed with patrons clad in green to celebrate Irish holiday.
As soon as Ri Ra Irish Pub opened its doors on St. Patrick's Day, the Pleasant Street restaurant was filled with patrons clad in green who spent the next several hours celebrating Ireland's most important holiday.
With entertainment like Oran Mor and Irish dancers strutting their stuff during the afternoon, it was understandable why so many Portsmouth area residents and visitors flocked to Ri Ra. But they also patronized other city bars and pubs such as The Press Room, TJ's, the Coat of Arms Pub and several others.
