City Council to Meet Tonight

Take city's Wayfinding Signs Concept Survey online; library to host Literary Lunch Book Discussion today; chance of showers in the forecast.

1. Today's weather: Today will be foggy in the morning and then mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and a high temperature near 77 degrees. On Monday night, it will be mostly cloudy with a low temperature of 56 degrees.

2. City Council meeting: The Portsmouth City Council will meet on Monday at City Hall at 7 p.m. The agenda can be viewed on the city's website.

3. Wayfinder signs survey: The city Planning Department is conducting a survey on the city's website where city residents can weigh in on which one of three proposed wayfinding sign concepts they like the best.

4. Literary lunch book discussion: The Portsmouth Public Library will host a Literary Lunch Book Discussion on Monday at 1 p.m. and at 7 p.m. This week, the discussion will focus on "Say Nice Things About Detroit," by Scott Lasser.

5. Public design charrette in June: The Portsmouth Planning Department is currently working on a project to convert the city's current zoning ordinances to a form-based code and will hold a public design charrette from June 6 to June 10 where city residents can have direct input on what they want their city to look like.
