City Man Charged with Pepper Spraying Woman Makes Bail

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Wednesday, Oct. 2 to Thursday, Oct. 3.
Wednesday:
- At 9:08 a.m., police arrested Metheun, Mass., man who was wanted as a fugitive from justice on Parrott Avenue. Felix Nunez, 29, of 1 Crest Drive, Apt. 13, was wanted for stalking and default or breach of bail conditions.
- At 9:59 a.m., police arrested a Westbrook, Maine man who was wanted as a fugitive from justice after he turned himself in at the police station. Shayne Smith, 39, of 84 Seavey St., Apt. 2 was wanted on a bench warrant.
- At 11:13 a.m., a Portsmouth man police arrested earlier in the week for three counts of simple assault, three counts of second degree assault and criminal restraint after he allegedly pepper sprayed a female victim made bail. Joshua Walker Phoenix, 25, of 39 Pleasant St., Apt. 5, posted $2,500 cash bail and was released on $7,500 personal recognizance.
- At 11:54 a.m., police reported criminal threatening on Grafton Drive after an employee threatened to return and shoot several people.
- At 12:47 p.m., police reported a burglary on Winsor Road.
- At 1:21 p.m., police reported a two-car accident on Market Street and Interstate-95 northbound.
- At 3:10 p.m., police reported criminal mischief on Swett Avenue after a mother called and said her son was threatened by some kids at the Chase Home who then damaged her son's treehouse.
- At 6:08 p.m., police reported an unattended death on Lois Street.
- At 1:15 a.m., police reported a bicycle theft on Congress Street valued at $1,300.
