Portsmouth Planning Board to Meet at City Hall

1. Today's weather: Today will be sunny with a high temperature near 76 degrees. On Thursday night, it will be partly cloudy with a low temperature near 47 degrees.

2. Planning Board meeting: The city's Planning Board will meet on Thursday at City Hall at 7 p.m. The agenda can be viewed on the city's website.

3. British Beer Company now open: The British Beer Company, a.k.a. the B.B.C., opened its new Hanover Street pub on Wednesday at 3 p.m.

4. DWI checkpoints this weekend: The Portsmouth Police Department announced this week they would be conducting some sobriety checkpoints in the city this weekend.

5. Public design charrette in June: The Portsmouth Planning Department is currently working on a project to convert the city's current zoning ordinances to a form-based code and will hold a public design charrette from June 6 to June 10 where city residents can have direct input on what they want their city to look like.
