Accused Crack Dealer Due Back in Court

Susan Becker, who Portsmouth Police say sold crack cocaine at Feaster Apartments, will be arraigned next month.

A Portsmouth woman who lives in one of the city's public housing units and was arrested for selling crack cocaine earlier this month will be arraigned next month.

According to Portsmouth Circuit Court officials, Portsmouth Police submitted the formal complaints against Susan Becker, 42, of 140 Court St., Apt. 212 in the Feaster Apartments on Tuesday. She will be arraigned on two felony counts of sale of a controlled drug on April 15 at 8 a.m.

Following Becker's arrest on March 15, Portsmouth Police Lt. Michael Maloney of the detectives division said Becker was charged following an investigation into illicit drug sales that were happening inside and around the Portsmouth Housing Authority properties.

Becker's bail was set at $1,000 cash and $5,000 personal recognizance, according to Maloney. Becker was subsequently released after she posted the $1,000 cash bail.
