City Residents to Learn More about Wayfinding Signs

Registrations now being accepted for "Chief Maloney Unity Run and Walk"; The One Fund to help Boston Marathon bombing victims; more rain in the forecast.

1. Today's weather: Today will be more drizzle and showers with a high temperature of 66 degrees. On Wednesday night, there will be a chance for more showers and a low temperature of 46 degrees.

2. Wayfinding sign meeting: The Portsmouth Planning Department will hold a second wayfinding signs meeting on Wednesday at City Hall at 6:30 p.m. to give the public more information about this program that will be launched early this summer.

3. Unity run coming Sunday: The second annual "Chief Maloney Unity Run and Walk" will be held this Sunday at 9 a.m. at the Portsmouth Police Department and this year the race will honor first responders in wake of the Boston Marathon bombings. To register, visit millenniumrunning.com/maloney.

4. Give to The One Fund: For those who are looking for ways to help the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings, Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Tom Menino have created The One Fund to help the people who were the most affected by the bombings on April 15.

5. Sarah Long Bridge closed: According to New Hampshire Department of Transportation officials, the Sarah Mildred Long Bridge will be closed to motor vehicle traffic until May 25 because of the extensive repairs that need to be done.
