City Woman Charged with Resisting Arrest, Child Endangerment
The following are excerpts from the Portsmouth police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Saturday, Aug. 31 through Monday, Sept. 2.
Saturday:
- At 11:12 a.m., police reported criminal mischief on Washington Street after the caller said a woman cut his rose bushes while walking her dog.
- At 11:46 a.m., police arrested a Dover man who was wanted as a fugitive from justice after he turned himself in at the police station. Ryan Brown, 19, of 74 Bellamy Road was wanted for wilful concealment.
- At 1:29 p.m., police reported a bicycle theft on Lafayette Road that was valued at $325.
- At 2:44 p.m., police investigated a forgery complaint on Woodbury Avenue after the caller said his son stole some checks and tried to cash $4,000 at a bank inside the Shaw's Supermarket.
- At 4:25 p.m., police reported a theft of groceries on Woodbury Avenue.
- At 1:08 a.m., police reported criminal trespassing on Marcy Street at Prescott Park after several people were seen climbing the main stage and refused to leave.
- At 8:42 a.m., police reported a theft on Arthur Brady Drive after the caller said a male stole a metal flower cart.
- At 2 p.m., police arrested a Portland, Maine woman who was wanted as a fugitive from justice after she was detained by State Police. Bessie Tucker, 50, of 34 Hunboldt St. was wanted for theft (removing from premises).
- At 4:20 p.m., police arrested a Portsmouth woman who was wanted as a fugitive from justice and took a juvenile into protective custody on Deer Street after she and some other subjects were observed drinking underneath a tree. Deanna Dee Smith, 34, of 20 Islington St. was wanted on a bench warrant, resisting arrest or detention and for endangering the welfare of a child/incompetent.
- At 6:27 p.m., police reported the theft of a wallet on Lafayette Road.
- At 11:09 p.m., police arrested an Eliot, Maine woman on Hanover Street after she allegedly punched a male subject in the face and hurt her wrist. Heidi Rackliff, 23, of 191 Brixham Road was charged with simple assault.
- At 2:14 a.m., police arrested a Portsmouth man following a loud party on Sheridan Avenue. Adam R. Carini, 35, of 1 Sheridan Ave., Apt. 1, was charged with disorderly conduct.
