City Woman Charged with Heroin Possession Held on $5K Bail
Jennifer Landry will remain at the Rockingham County Jail as Portsmouth Police continue to investigate a heroin overdose death that happened on Nov. 23.

A Portsmouth woman who police wanted to question about the heroin overdose death of a 22-year-old woman in November was ordered held on $5,000 cash bail in Portsmouth Circuit Court on Wednesday.
According to court documents, Jennifer Landry, 41, of of 309 Oriental Gardens in Portsmouth will continue to be held at the Rockingham County Jail in Brentwood. . Landry is charged with a felony of heroin possession. According to court documents, she is scheduled to return to court for probable cause hearing on Dec. 17.
Judge Sawato Gardner also ordered that if Landry makes bail, she will have to submit to random drug and alcohol screenings twice a week and also to random home inspections. Landry was also ordered to not have any contact with two other individuals who were arrested on the same day she was by Portsmouth Police.

Deputy Police Chief Corey MacDonald previously said that police were investigating the death of the Portsmouth woman from a heroin overdose that occurred in Nov. 23 and they wanted to question Landry.
