City Woman Charged with Simple Assault

Portsmouth Police supplied the following arrest information.

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Wednesday, April 17.

Wednesday:

  • At 7:41 a.m., police arrested a Portsmouth man on Lafayette Road after the male subject threatened to harm the caller. James Stephenson, 54, of 60 Lafayette Road, Apt. 12, was charged with simple assault and criminal threatening (intimidation, etc.).
  • At 9:08 a.m., police reported criminal mischief on Woodbury Avenue after a building had been tagged with graffiti.
  • At 9:42 a.m., police reported a theft on Lafayette Road that resulted from a possible misapplication of property.
  • At 11:12 a.m., police assisted the Dover Police Department with a hit and run call and checked Islington Street for a vehicle that sustained front end damage, but were unable to locate the vehicle in question.
  • At 11:13 a.m., police arrested a Worcester, Mass., man following a domestic incident on Islington Street and Maplewood Avenue. Frederick J. Henschel, Jr., 46, of 38 Blackstone River Road in Worcester was charged with default or breach of bail conditions.
  • At 12:48 p.m., police reported a theft on Austin Street of at least $2,000 in cash.
  • At 3:20 p.m., police reported a theft on Lafayette Road of $20,000 worth of cash and parts that resulted from falsifying returns and putting the money back on the subject's credit card. Police indicated the business involved has written statements from the employee and wants to press charges.
  • At 6:39 p.m., police arrested an Exeter man for drunken driving on Market Street. Nathan True, 23, of 10 Chestnut St., Apt. 2308 in Exeter was charged with driving while intoxicated.
  • At 11:05 p.m., police arrested a Portsmouth woman following a domestic incident on Fernald Court. Kristina Komar, 33, of 21 Fernald Court was charged with simple assault.
