City Woman Gets Jail Time in War Veteran Beating

A Portsmouth woman who was one of four people who beat an Afghanistan War Army veteran outside The Page restaurant in July 2011 will serve six months in jail after she pleaded guilty on Friday.
The Union Leader reported that Anna Battle, 22, of Portsmouth pleaded guilty to second-degree assault on Friday in Rockingham County Superior Court for the beating of Stephen Bohn of Peabody, Mass., on the night of July 16, 2011.
Battle was the fourth and final suspect in the case who was sentenced to some jail time for her role in the beating case. , a Class B felony, as part of negotiated plea deals. May was sentenced to 2 to 5 years in state prison, and Hayes was sentenced to 2-1/2 to 7 years. to a second degree assault charge and was sentenced to nine months in jail.
