Woman Allegedly Steals Dress from Downtown Store

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Wednesday, July 10 through Saturday, July 13.

Wednesday:

  • At 6:54 a.m., police reported a disorderly conduct complaint on Market Square and Pleasant Street.
  • At 4:14 p.m., police reported shoplifting on Congress Street.
Thursday:
  • At 8:03 a.m., police arrested a Portsmouth woman following a domestic incident on Marcy Street. Susan Marie Regan, 57, of 30 Dearborn St. was charged with violation of a protective order; penalty.
Friday:
  • At 11:23 a.m., police arrested a Portsmouth woman on Bartlett Street following a disorderly conduct complaint. Allyson B. Young, 60, of 138 Bartlett St., Apt. A was charged with criminal trespass, resisting arrest or detention and receiving stolen property.
  • At 12:54 p.m., police reported a theft of several bracelets and a belt from a Commercial Alley store.
  • At 6:09 p.m., police arrested a Portsmouth man who was wanted as a fugitive from justice at the police station after he turned himself in. Zuriel Hamidjojo, 23, of 270 Osprey Drive was wanted for six counts of simple assault.
Saturday:
  • At 10:32 a.m., police reported the theft of a firearm on West Road.
  • At 2:18 p.m., police arrested a Portsmouth woman on Market Street for theft after she stole a dress from a store. Julia Herrick, 21, of 8 Moebus Terrace, was charged with two counts of receiving stolen property.
  • At 3:09 p.m., police reported a theft of a sterling Claddagh ring worth $109 from a Market Square store.
  • At 5:42 p.m., police reported the theft of a shirt from a Commercial Alley store.
  • At 7:12 p.m., police reported a motor vehicle theft on Parrott Avenue.
  • At 8:30 p.m., police arrested a 15-year-old juvenile on Woodbury Avenue after he was involved in an altercation with several other teens inside a Woodbury Avenue store.
