Council to Give Budget Final Review

Dog licensing deadline is Tuesday at City Hall; Portsmouth Farmer's Market to return Saturday; mostly sunny day in the forecast.

2. Council to give budget final look: The City Council will hold a work session at City Hall on Monday at 6:30 p.m. to give the proposed fiscal year 2014 budget a final review. The proposed city budget can be viewed on the city's website.

3. Dog license deadline: City dog owners have until Tuesday, April 30 to license their pooches. The 2013 dog licensing fees are: $10 for unaltered male or female dogs, $7.50 for spayed or neutered dogs, and $7.50 for puppies 3- to 7 months. For further information, contact 610-7245.

4. Portsmouth Farmers Market to return: The Portsmouth Farmers Market will reopen every Saturday morning in the City Hall parking lot beginning on May 4.

5. Sarah Long Bridge closed: According to New Hampshire Department of Transportation officials, the Sarah Mildred Long Bridge will be closed to motor vehicle traffic until May 25 because of the extensive repairs that need to be done.
