Council to Vote on $3.3M Middle School Bond

1. Today's weather: Today will be mostly sunny with a high temperature of 52 degrees. On Monday night, it will be mostly cloudy with a low temperature near 40 degrees.

2. City Council meeting: The Portsmouth City Council will meet on Monday night at City Hall at 7, and one of the items on the agenda is a public hearing and a vote on a proposed $3.3 million bond for the Portsmouth Middle School project. The complete agenda can be viewed on the city's website.

4. Portsmouth Singer/Songwriter Festival: Beginning this Wednesday, the Portsmouth Singer/Songwriter Festival will get underway. This five day event is held at the Music Hall and Music Hall Loft and feature several concerts and a Seacoast Singer/Songwriter Round Robin tournament. Aimee Mann and Sharon Van Etten will also perform in concert this weekend.

5. Sarah Mildred Long Bridge closed: According to New Hampshire Department of Transportation officials, the Sarah Mildred Long Bridge will remain closed for another three weeks after it sustained structural damage from a tanker that crashed into it.
