Daniel Street Streetscape Work Continues
Registrations now being accepted for second annual "Chief Maloney Unity Run and Walk;" some rain in the forecast.
1. Today's weather: Today will be drizzly with some showers and a high temperature near 46 degrees. On Tuesday night, there will be more showers and a low temperature of 40 degrees.
2. Unity run coming Sunday: The second annual "Chief Maloney Unity Run and Walk" will be held this Sunday at 9 a.m. at the Portsmouth Police Department and this year the race will honor first responders in wake of the Boston Marathon bombings. To register, visit millenniumrunning.com/maloney.
3. Daniel Street streetscape work continues: City Public Works Department crews will continue the streetscape project on Daniel Street that includes new brick sidewalks and lamp posts. The gas main replacement project work will continue as the streetscape phase gets underway.

4. Board of Adjustment meeting: The city's Board of Adjustment will meet on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at City Hall. The agenda can be viewed on the city's website.
5. Sarah Long Bridge closed: According to New Hampshire Department of Transportation officials, the Sarah Mildred Long Bridge will be closed to motor vehicle traffic until May 25 because of the extensive repairs that need to be done.
