Recently a Londonderry-based Verani Realty agent, Bob Ramalho, was chosen to be a bone marrow donor by Be the Match. After hearing his story, we were inspired to coordinate bone marrow drives at our Londonderry and Portsmouth offices, to help save lives! Be The Match is a non-profit organization, part of the National Marrow Donor Program®, helps organize and find marrow donors for patients that are in need of transplants.  Be The Match has been around since 1979, inspired by the story of a 10-year-old girl who received a bone marrow transplant from an unrelated donor. It was the first ever transplant for a Leukemia patient. Since then, Be The Match has grown it's database to more than 10 million people, and is self-claimed the world's "most racially and ethnically diverse registry of its kind."
