1. Today's weather: The National Weather Service is calling for a sunny day, with a high near 51. West wind 9 to 15 mph. On Monday night, it will be mostly clear, with a low around 36. Northwest wind 5 to 8 mph becoming calm.
2. City Council meeting: The Portsmouth City Council will meet on Monday at City Hall at 7 p.m. The agenda can be viewed on the city's web site.
3. Holiday parade coverage: Be sure to check out our coverage of the Portsmouth Holiday Parade on Saturday night. City officials say the parade will be broadcast on Channel 22 on Saturday, Dec. 8 at 7 p.m. for those who wish to watch it.

Enter Patch Deck the House contest: Portsmouth Patch is accepting submissions of photos and video from Portsmouth residents who believe they have the best holiday lights for the Patch Deck the House contest. The winner of the nationwide competition will receive $100,000 for their local school district and have their electricity bill paid for one month.
