School Board meeting tonight; Girls Scouts turn 101 years old; showers in the forecast.
1. Today's weather: The National Weather Service is calling for showers after 11 a.m. with a high temperature of 50 degrees. On Tuesday night, there will be more showers and a low temperature of 38 degrees.
2. School Board meeting: The Portsmouth School Board is scheduled to meet on Tuesday night at City Hall at 7. The agenda can be viewed on the city's website.
3. Daniel Street construction: City Public Works crews will continue a four-week project on Daniel Street to replace gas mains. Motorists should seek other routes to access Market Square.

4. Happy Birthday, Girl Scouts: The Girl Scouts are celebrating their 101st birthday on Tuesday.
5. AARP to offer free tax assistance: The AARP will offer Portsmouth area residents free 2012 income tax return preparation assistance at the Portsmouth Public Library through Sunday, April 14. The service will offered from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sundays. People should call 2-1-1 to make an appointment and walk-ins are also welcome.
