City Parking, Traffic and Safety Committee meeting this morning; share your lucky charms photos for St. Patrick's Day; colder day in the forecast.

1. Today's weather: The National Weather Service is calling for a mostly cloudy day with gradually sunny skies and a high temperature of 50 degrees. On Wednesday night, there will be increasing clouds with a low around 29 degrees.

2. Parking panel to meet: The city's Parking, Traffic and Safety Committee will meet on Thursday morning at City Hall at 8. The agenda can be viewed on the city's website.

3. Daniel Street construction: City Public Works crews will continue a four-week project on Daniel Street to replace gas mains. Motorists should seek other routes to access Market Square.

4. Share lucky charm photos: In honor of St. Patrick's Day this Sunday, Portsmouth Patch wants you to share photos of your lucky charms.

5. AARP to offer free tax assistance: The AARP will offer Portsmouth area residents free 2012 income tax return preparation assistance at the Portsmouth Public Library through Sunday, April 14. The service will offered from 4:30 p.m.  to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sundays. People should call 2-1-1 to make an appointment and walk-ins are also welcome.
