Shipyard workers to rally against sequestration; Planning Board meeting tonight; sunny, cold day in the forecast.

1. Today's weather: The National Weather Service is calling for a partly sunny day with a high temperature near 37 degrees. On Thursday night, it will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature around 22 degrees.

2. Shipyard workers rally: Portsmouth Naval Shipyard workers and hundreds of other federal employees, AFL-CIO union members, business people and others will hold a rally against sequestration on Thursday at noon at Prescott Park.

3. Planning Board meeting: The city Planning Board is scheduled to meet on Thursday at 7 p.m. at City Hall. The agenda can be viewed on the city's website.

4. "Life of Pi" at Library: The Portsmouth Public Library will show the movie, "The Life of Pi," on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the Levenson Meeting Room for free.
