Shea-Porter to discuss sequestration at PNSY; library to hold literary lunches event; partly sunny day in the forecast.
1. Today's weather: The National Weather Service is calling for a partly sunny day with a high temperature near 44 degrees. On Monday night, there will be a chance of snow showers between midnight and 4 a.m. with mostly cloudy skies and a low temperature of 29 degrees.
2. Shea-Porter to talk sequestration: Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter, D-NH, is scheduled to hold a press conference at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, Maine at noon on Monday. Be sure to check Portsmouth Patch later this afternoon for our story.
3. Literary lunch: The Portsmouth Public Library will host its monthly Literary Lunches forum on Monday at 1 p.m. and at 7 p.m. The book, "Left Neglected," by Lisa Genova will be discussed in the MacLeod Board Room.

4. Daniel Street project continues: City Public Works crews will continue a four-week project to replace gas mains on Daniel Street. Motorists should seek alternate routes to access Market Square.
5. Easter Egg Hunt: The city Recreation Department will hold the annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 30 at 10:30 a.m. in Langdon Park.
