1. Today's weather: The National Weather Service is calling for a rain likely, mainly after 2 p.m. Increasing clouds, with a high near 58. East wind 5 to 11 mph. On Friday night, there will be occasional showers. Low around 51. Northeast wind 7 to 13 mph.
2. HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius in town: U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius will hold a grassroots event at the Obama for America-NH office on Brewery Lane on Friday at 11 a.m. to discuss how President Obama's policies will help small businesses.
3. Portsmouth Democratic Committee banquet: Congressman Paul Tonko, D-NY, and Congressman Steven Rothman, D-NJ, will be the guest speakers of the Portsmouth Democratic Committee Banquet at the Portsmouth Harbor Events and Conference Center on Friday at 7 p.m.

4. Portsmouth Maritime Folk Festival almost here: The 13th annual Portsmouth Maritime Folk Festival will kick off Friday at 4 p.m. and feature Portsmouth area musicians all weekend performing sea shanties and rounds in several downtown locations for free.
