Emergency crews responded to a hazardous materials situation in Newington on Monday morning. The initial call came in around 9 a.m. for a hazmat situation with victim at 410 Shattuck Way, according to emergency radio broadcasts. There was reportedly some sort of an acid spill, and one person suffered burns. The building has reportedly been evacuated, and multiple patients are being evaluated.
