John Paul Jones House Opens for Season

The house and museum honoring John Paul Jones, colonial America's first sea warrior, opens May 1.

The John Paul Jones House opens today, May 1, for the 2014 season.

The historic house and museum to Colonial America's first sea warrior is open seven days a week, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Portsmouth Historical Society has announced the 2014 exhibition for the John Paul Jones House: Mapping the Piscataqua Region: John Smith to Google Maps. An opening reception will be held at the John Paul Jones House on May 9, from 5 p.m. to  7 p.m. The exhibition goes to Nov. 3.
