Live Music, Theatre and Cinema This Weekend

RPM Challenge listening party at the Press Room Saturday; Seconds to September at Thirsty Moose; final weekend for "A Chorus Line" at The Rep.

As most city residents know, there is never a shortage of fun things to do or places to go in Portsmouth. Each Friday, we will offer five suggestions for people who are planning out their weekends.

1. RPM Challenge listening party: The Press Room will host the 8th annual RPM Challenge Listening Party on Saturday night from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. where CDs of Seacoast area musicians will featured. It is also free.

2. Seconds to September live: The band Seconds to September will play at the Thirsty Moose Taphouse on Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m.

3. "Wreck It Ralph" at library: The animated film, "Wreck It Ralph," will be shown at the Portsmouth Public Library on Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. for free in the Levenson Room.

4. See "A Chorus Line" at The Rep: The musical "A Chorus Line" will continue its run at the Seacoast Repertory Theatre this weekend.

5. Music Hall Loft music: The Howard Fishman Quarter will perform at the Music Hall Loft on Friday at 8 p.m. and tickets, which are $28 each, are still available.
