Living Nativity Celebrates True Spirit of Christmas
Middle Street Baptist Church performed three shows to allow families to reconnect and children to learn about the birth of Jesus.
The Middle Street Baptist Church presented its Living Nativity on Saturday in front of the church to give families a way to reconnect and children the opportunity to learn about the birth of Jesus.
"The Majesty of the Christmas Manger" featured live Lamas, goats and sheep and actors who portrayed the Holy Family, the three Wisemen, shepherds and the angels. The event also featured lots of Christmas carols and free hot cocoa and Christmas cookies inside the church fellowship hall.
While no mention was made about , at the Sandy Hook Elementary School on Friday, the significance of the church's Living Nativity was not lost on many of the families who attended it.

At a time of such great loss caused by such an act of senseless violence, it may be more important than ever to welcome the light and the love represented by the birth of the Christ child that occurred on a cold winter's night in Bethlehem more than 2,000 years ago.
