Maloney to be Remembered Tonight in Greenland
Dog licenses need to be renewed by April 30; Restaurant Week continues until Saturday; some rain, sleet in the forecast.
1. Today's weather: There will be rain, sleet and freezing rain throughout most of the day today with a high temperature near 37 degrees. On Friday night, there will be more rain and some sleet with a low temperature around 33 degrees.
2. Maloney to be remembered tonight: Greenland residents and many other Portsmouth area residents are expected to attend a moment of silence in front of the Greenland Police Station on Friday at 5 p.m. to honor the memory of Greenland Police Chief Michael Maloney, who died in the line of duty on April 12, 2012.
3. Renew your dog's license: City officials have sent dog license renewal letters to all currently licensed dog owners in the city and dogs must be licensed by April 30. For more information about dog licensing fees and any other issues, contact 610-7245.

4. Restaurant week: Restaurant Week Portsmouth and the Seacoast continues through Saturday, April 13.
5. Sarah Mildred Long Bridge closed: According to New Hampshire Department of Transportation officials, the Sarah Mildred Long Bridge will remain closed for another three weeks after it sustained structural damage from a tanker that crashed into it.
