Man Drinks Anti-Freeze, Threatens Suicide in Market Square
Portsmouth Police supplied the following arrest information.

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Friday, March 29 through Sunday, March 31.
Friday:
- At 8:43 a.m., police reported truancy on Wedgewood Road and took a juvenile into protective custody before giving the subject a ride back to school.
- At 9:02 a.m., police reported criminal mischief on State Street after the caller said he found some grafitti on a front door.
- At 1:53 p.m., police reported a bicycle theft from a storage unit on the Route 1 Bypass northbound.
- At 3:44 p.m., police took a walk in report of identity theft.

- At 7:08 p.m., police reported a suicide attempt in Market Square after a male subject drank some anti-freeze. Police said the male subject was transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital by the Portsmouth Fire Department.
- At 8:01 p.m., police reported an injured deer on Exeter Street that the caller said was limping. Police and New Hampshire Fish and Game conservation officers arrived on the scene and the deer proceeded to run off into the nearby woods.
- At 8:50 p.m., police reported criminal threatening on Brewery Lane after a restaurant patron pulled a knife on a group of dining patrons before he left the restaurant and headed downtown.
Sunday:
- At 1:07 a.m., police reported a simple assault on Islington Street after the caller said he was hit in the head by an egg thrown by someone from a nearby window.
