March Snowstorm Could Make for a Messy Commute

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory from Wednesday afternoon until noon on Thursday.

Snow and rain, followed by cold temperatures, is going to put areas at risk for a flash freeze Wednesday night into Thursday morning's commute, making for some treacherous driving conditions.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for southern New Hampshire from Wednesday afternoon until noon on Thursday. The storm is expected to bring heavy snow to the mountains, with a mix of snow, sleet and rain further south.

In Rockingham County, snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches is anticipated, while Hillsborough and Merrimack counties could see 4 to 6 inches of snow.

Any snow that falls will likely be wet and heavy, and along with sleet and any freezing rain could make for power outages when combined with strong winds. Rapidly falling temperatures Wednesday night could also result in a flash freeze of any standing water.
