Meat House Location for Lease

The Meat House location at 222 Lafayette Road in Portsmouth is available for lease.

Some of the Meat House locations closed in February. WMUR reported the chain of neighborhood butcher shops closed, while the parent company was also being sued in federal court by investors who claimed they were owed hundreds of thousands of dollars.

The Meat House website, as of May 10, listed two New Hampshire locations: Stratham and Amherst. The number to the Stratham shop was disconnected and a note on the website says the store was closed for remodeling.

The Amherst location – an independent business – is now called the "Flying Butcher."
