Meet Future Leaders From Portsmouth And Celebrate Their Achievements

PORTSMOUTH, NH — The future of Portsmouth is looking bright, thanks to the incredible young people working to strengthen our community. In partnership with T-Mobile, Patch is proud to spotlight future leaders working hard at college to prepare for the future.

The following students were named to Emerson College's Dean's List for the Fall 2024 semester. To make the Dean's List, students must have a grade point average of 3.7 or higher for that semester. Luke Huston of Portsmouth is majoring in Business Creative Enterprises and is a member of the Class of 2025; Brianna Rowlands of Portsmouth is majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies and is a member of the Class of 2025; Caraline Shaheen of Portsmouth is majoring in Creative Writing BFA and is a member of the Class of 2026; Caleb Van Epps of Portsmouth is majoring in Media Arts Production and is a member of the Class of 2028.

Peter Saikali of Portsmouth was recently elected to membership into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society, at University of Massachusetts. Saikali is among approximately 20,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year. Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible for membership. Graduate students in the top 10 percent of the number of candidates for graduate degrees may also qualify, as do faculty, professional staff and alumni who have achieved scholarly distinction.

A student from Newington and a student from Portsmouth were named to the College of the Holy Cross' Dean's List for outstanding academic achievement during the Fall semester of the 2024-25 academic year. Maxwell Barker of Portsmouth, class of 2028, and Natalia Jacuch of Newington, class of 2027. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must pass four or more letter-graded courses with no failing grades during the semester and earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Emmanuel College named four Portsmouth students to the Dean's List for the Fall 2024 semester. To earn a spot on the Dean's List, Emmanuel students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for a 16-credit semester. Dejaliyah Srimouksavanh of Portsmouth is a Double Major; Marketing; Management - Sport Management major; Alex Jaime of Portsmouth is a Biology - Health Sciences major; Jackson Obrey of Portsmouth is a Marketing major; and Pia Brewster of Portsmouth is a Undeclared major.

Tufts University recently announced the dean's list for the fall 2024 semester. Dean's list honors at Tufts University require a semester grade point average of 3.4 or greater. Francis Powell, Class of 2026, of Portsmouth; Nick Dahlen, Class of 2027, of Portsmouth; and Johnny Getman, Class of 2028, of Portsmouth.

The following students were named to the Dean's List during the fall 2024 academic semester at Salve Regina University: Ainsley Gray of Portsmouth and Kyrie Johnson of Portsmouth. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.6 for full-time students completing at least 12 graded credits, or a semester grade point average of 3.8 for part-time students completing at least six credits.
