BRGR Bar Opens in Portsmouth

BRGR Bar, downtown Portsmouth's newest restaurant, is scheduled to open at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.

"We are hoping to have a snowstorm opening! Wednesday!" the restaurant said in a Facebook message earlier this week. On Wednesday morning, the restaurant confirmed it will be opening at 11:30 a.m.

Signs went up in November at the eatery's location at Portwalk Place next to the Residence Inn. BRGR Bar was originally scheduled to open in mid-December, but some "unexpected hurdles" delayed the opening until now.

Brazo owner Phelps Dieck is behind the new restaurant, which will feature burgers, fries, salads, craft beer, wine, and milkshakes. There will be about 90 seats—40 of which will be outdoors.
