Newmarket Man Charged with DWI Following 2-Car Crash

Portsmouth Police supplied the following arrest information.

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Sunday, March 10 to Tuesday, March 12.

Sunday:

  • At 9:52 a.m., police reported the theft of a purse on Parrott and Richards avenues.
  • At 11:11 a.m., police reported the theft a gym bag and a radio face plate from a car on Islington Street.
  • At 3:48 p.m., police reported a theft from a Woodbury Avenue store after the caller said a female subject tried to steal $300 worth of merchandise and left her wallet behind.
  • At 5:35 p.m., police reported another car break in on McDonough Street where a number of gift cards were stolen.
  • At 5:49 p.m., police arrested a Newmarket man for drunken driving on Islington and Bartlett streets after he was involved in a two-car accident. Brian Clifford, 29, of 13 Lamprey River Park in Newmarket was charged with driving while intoxicated and resisting arrest of detention.
  • At 7:41 p.m., police reported a theft on Bow Street after the caller said her wallet that contained credit cards, ID's, a teaching certificate, gift certificates and more than $100 in case was stolen.

  • At 11:55 a.m., police arrested a Hampton woman who was wanted as a fugitive from justice after she turned herself in at the police station. Megan A. Fuller, 20, of 22 River St. in Hampton was wanted for fraudulent use of a credit card and on a bench warrant.
  • At 2:53 p.m., police investigated a theft complaint on Middle Street after the caller said a homeless man was stealing his mail.
  • At 5:08 p.m., police arrested a Portsmouth man who was wanted as a fugitive from justice. Jeremiah S. Ellis, 23, of 3 Gosling Road, Apt. 317, in Portsmouth was wanted for two counts of simple assault.
  • At 5:24 p.m., police reported a theft of $300 of clothing on Mirona Road.

Tuesday:

  • At 2:21 a.m., police arrested a Portsmouth man for robbery on Woodbury Avenue after a foot pursuit. Anthony Jordan Allen, 20, of 5 Winsor Road in Portsmouth was charged with robbery and resisting arrest or detention.
