State Trooper Injured When Tire From Truck Hits Cruiser On I-95
Trooper Hervieux was transported to a Portsmouth hospital after the crash in Greenland. The tractor-trailer continued without stopping

GREENLAND, NH - A New Hampshire State Trooper was injured when a tire came off a tractor-trailer on Interstate 95 on Thursday.
Trooper Hervieux of New Hampshire State Police Troop A was traveling northbound on Interstate 95 in the Town of Greenland at about 11:00 p.m. when her cruiser was struck by the tire that had come off the tractor-trailer. Trooper Hervieux was able to maintain control of the cruiser and bring it safely to a stop without striking other vehicles.
State Police say It appears a tire became dislodged from a tractor-trailer traveling southbound on Interstate 95. The tire crossed the median and struck Trooper Hervieux’s cruiser while she was traveling northbound, causing extensive damage.

Trooper Hervieux was transported to the Portsmouth Regional Hospital where she was treated for minor injuries sustained in the crash.
The tractor-trailer continued on without stopping and at this point has not been identified. The tire was recovered and is being held as evidence.

Earlier Friday morning, Massachusetts State Trooper Tamar Bucci was killed on Interstate 93 in Stoneham after her cruiser was hit by a tractor-trailer, state police said.
