Parking Fee To Increase In Portsmouth

The hourly parking fee at Hanover Street garage will increase by 25 cents starting July 1, as part of the approved budget.

PORTSMOUTH, NH — Parking rates are about to increase in Portsmouth. The hourly rate to part at the Hanover Street garage have been increased by 25 cents — from $1.50 an hour to $1.75 an hour. The change will take effect July 1.

According to city officials, the change in fees is part of the annual budget adopted by the City Council earlier this month. Monthly passes for the garage will increase from $175 to $200 for Portsmouth residents, and from $200 to $225 for non-residents.

There will be no change in parking fees at the Foundry garage. Free all-day parking for Portsmouth residents on Sunday will remain in effect.
