Pease Greeters Reach Milestone
Pease Greeters: 'Thanking Our Troops, One Flight At A Time.'
The Pease Greeters are on the eve of a milestone: The Pease Greeters on Saturday will welcome the 700th flight at Pease International Airport.
The expansive and energetic volunteers will be there at 4:10 a.m. on April 26 to welcome a flight of troops returning home.
The non-profit organization exists to welcome troops flying out of Pease, and those returning home, either from Afghanistan or Iraq, or any other areas of conflict. The group throws a welcome-home party as a way to say thanks, as well to celebrate the service of veterans.
Here is the Pease Greeters mission statement.
