PHS Clippers Eliminated from NHIAA

Union Leader reports that Souhegan High School upsets second-ranked Portsmouth High Boys Basketball team, 69-65.

The Portsmouth High Clippers Boys Basketball team was just two wins away from repeating as Division II champs and many thought they would outlast Souhegan High Saturday night to reach the finals, but it was not to be.

According to the Union Leader, the number seven ranked Souhegan High Boys Basketball team defeated the number two ranked Clippers, 69-65, at Souhegan High on the same day the community held a memorial service for former Sabers player and 2012 graduate Tony Barksdale, who died a week ago after he was found unconscious at an off-campus apartment near Boston University.
