Police: B-Ball Game Erupts into Slap Fest
Portsmouth Police provided the following arrest information.

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Thursday, May 16 to Friday, May 17.
Thursday:
- At 1:06 p.m., police reported an attempted suicide on Middle Road after a female juvenile made the threat on e-mail. The juvenile was transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital for treatment.
- At 1:13 p.m., police assisted the Portsmouth Fire Department with a brush fire that broke out near the Portsmouth Rotary Circle.
- At 4:53 p.m., police reported a theft on South Street after the caller said someone stole some items from their car.
- At 8:38 p.m., police reported to Middle Road for a simple assault involving two male juveniles who were playing basketball. One of the two male subject slapped the other on the buttocks and the later kicked him in the buttocks and slapped him in the head before the victim called police.

- At 8:51 a.m., police picked up a juvenile at his home on Osprey Drive and transported him to school after police received a truancy complaint.
- At 2:01 p.m., police reported disorderly conduct at Goodwin Park on Islington Street after some city Public Works Department workers saw four to five homeless people drinking alcohol in the park. They also said one of them changed their clothes behind some bushes before the St. Patrick School was scheduled to let children go home that afternoon.
- At 4:59 p.m., police reported criminal mischief on Van Buren Avenue after the caller reported that some obscene graffiti had been spray painted on some playground equipment.
- At 5:02 p.m., police reported a fight on Sagamore Avenue involving three juveniles.
- At 6:03 p.m., police reported a skateboarding complaint on Summer and State streets after the caller said there were multiple kids skateboarding and videotaping themselves.
- At 10:43 p.m., police reported criminal mischief on top of the High Hanover Parking Garage after the caller said some kids were throwing beer bottles and trash from the top level.
