Police: DPW Truck Takes Out Light Pole Downtown

Tuesday:

• At 2:24 p.m., police reported a motor vehicle accident on Hanover Street and Maplewood Avenue after a city Department of Public Works truck struck a utility pole.
• At 2:38 a.m., police reported reckless conduct on Middle Street and Middle Road after a hitch hiker was seen in the roadway.
• At 6:24 a.m., police reported the theft of a wallet downtown.
• At 7:28 a.m., police reported a two-car accident without injury on State Street.
• At 1:52 p.m., police reported a two-car accident without injury on the Route 1 Bypass southbound.
• At 3:42 p.m., police reported a hit and run accident in the parking lot off Deer Street.
