Police: Employee Steals $18K from City Business

The following information was provided by the Portsmouth Police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Wednesday, Dec. 18.

Wednesday:

  • At 4:13 a.m., police reported that a snow plow struck the caller's house on Albacore Way. There were no injuries, but the Portsmouth Fire Department checked the home's interior wall to make sure no structural damage had occurred.
  • At 6:50 a.m., police reported a single car accident on the Memorial Bridge after a motor vehicle had spun out.
  • At 12:05 p.m., police issued an all points bulletin to locate a missing Greenland girl who was later located by Seabrook Police in that community.
  • At 2:54 p.m., police reported a two-car accident on Dennett Street and Woodbury Avenue without injury.
  • At 3:38 p.m., police issued a warning to a male subject who was using his ATV to plow snow on Cabot and McDonough streets.
  • At 3:42 p.m., police reported a theft of $18,000 by the employee of a business on Lafayette road.
  • At 5:33 p.m., police transported a female subject on Shearwater Drive to Portsmouth Regional Hospital for an involuntary emergency admission.
  • At 8:40 p.m., police reported criminal mischief on Cabot Street after the caller said all four of his motor vehicle's tires had been slashed.
  • At 11:08 p.m., a Dover man was arrested following a domestic incident on Wedgewood Road. Marcus G. Baez, 23, of 7 Baker St., Apt. 3 was charged with resisting arrest or detention.
