Police Investigate Knifepoint Robbery

Portsmouth Police supplied the following arrest information.

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Thursday, Sept. 27 through Saturday, Sept. 29.

Thursday:

  • At 9:09 a.m., police arrested an 11-year-old juvenile for truancy on Sherburne Road.
  • At 9:43 a.m., police reported the theft of a political sign on Union Street.
  • At 2:25 p.m., police reported the theft of a black leather planner from the caller's purse on Islington Street.
  • At 2:41 p.m., police reported the theft of some bedding and other items from a Woodbury Avenue store.
  • At 4:22 p.m., police reported a bicycle theft on Maplewood Avenue.

  • At 9:43 a.m., police reported the theft of a cell phone on Mariette Drive.
  • At 11:32 a.m., police reported a theft on Madison Street after the caller said someone stole his food stamp card out of his mailbox.
  • At 6:36 p.m., police reported a robbery on High Street after the caller said someone approached him for a light and then pulled out a knife and demand all of his money.

Saturday:

  • At 11:07 a.m., police reported a theft on the Route One Bypass south after the caller said she was missing a diamond ring and a pair of earring valued at $1,200.
  • At 3:16 p.m., police reported a drive off theft of $40 of gasoline on Route One Bypass south.
  • At 9:43 p.m., police arrested a Rye man for drunken driving at Portsmouth High School after he drove off in another person's car and returned to the high school two hours later. Jose Vigueras Rueda, 41, of 453 Washington Road in Rye was charged with driving while intoxicated and unauthorized use of a propelled vehicle.
  • At 10:51 p.m., police arrested a Hampton woman for drunken driving on Islington Street and Salem Street. Adina Beaudry, 22, of 178 Towle Farm Road in Hampton was charged with driving while intoxicated.
