Police Detain Man with Gun at Doctor's Office
The following are excerpts from the Portsmouth police log.

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Thursday, June 27.
Thursday:
- At 9:12 a.m., police reported a two-car accident on Griffin Road and Greenland Road without injury.
- At 9:51 a.m., police reported a burglary on Court Street.
- At 11:03 a.m., police reported a theft on Islington Street after the caller said someone took her car keys.
- At 12:17 p.m., police reported a theft of more than $1,000 worth of furniture on Manning Street.
- At 12:36 p.m., police reported the theft of a cell phone on Woodbury Avenue.
- At 2:49 p.m., police reported an animal call on Sagamore Avenue after the caller said some racoons returned and that people were trying to help them. Police dispatched New Hampshire Fish and Game Conservation officers to the scene.
- Also at 2:49 p.m., police detained a man who was wearing a handgun on his hip and waved it inside a doctor's office before he left. Police later determined the man had a legal gun owner's permit and that no crime was committed.
- At 3:05 p.m., police reported a theft from a motor vehicle on Court Street.
- At 6:20 p.m., police arrested a Portsmouth man for liquor offenses on Brewster Street. Jackson Bickford, 32, of 21 Brewster St., Apt. 1, was charged with transporting alcoholic beverages.
- At 7:33 p.m., police reported a theft from a motor vehicle on Lafayette Road.
