Police: Possum Corralled in Parking Garage
Portsmouth Police provided the following arrest information.

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Sunday, June 2, and Monday, June 3.
Sunday:
- At 7:20 a.m., police investigated a reported motor vehicle theft on Ocean Road.
- At 1:25 p.m., police probed a suspicious package on Arthur Brady Drive that turned out to be a litter box with used litter inside and red tape that read "Garbage."
- At 4:15 p.m., police reported fraud at a Fleet Street business after the caller reported a $20 counterfeit bill.
- At 5:11 p.m., police reported criminal mischief on Hancock and Washington streets after the caller said a rear passenger side window on a motor vehicle was smashed in.

- At 2:53 a.m., police arrested a Portsmouth man on Gosling Road after investigating a report of criminal mischief. Matthew M. Mondor, Jr., 19, of 30 Weald Road was charged with criminal mischief (vandalism), resisting arrest or detention, default or breach of bail conditions and two counts of receiving stolen property.
- At 4:35 a.m., police arrested a Portsmouth man on Brewster Street who was involved in an altercation Darren V. Ramsden, 24, of 21 Brewster St., Apt. 1, was charged with simple assault.
- At 7:51 a.m., police reported an animal call at the High Hanover Parking Garage after a possum was seen walking around. The Animal Control Officer later removed the animal.
- At 3:15 p.m., police reported the theft of a back pack on Woodbury Avenue that contained some medication.
