Police Report Stolen Car at Pease Transportation Center

Portsmouth Police supplied the following information.

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Sunday, Dec. 9 and Monday, Dec. 10.

Sunday:

  • At 11:43 a.m., police reported a noise complaint at Patriots Park after the caller said they heard gun shots in the nearby woods.
  • At 7:27 p.m., police reported an animal call after the caller said a driver hit a German Shepherd dog on Andrew Jarvis Drive. Police said the dog was later located by the owner on Middle Street and Lafayette Road and taken to a veterinary hospital in Newington for emergency care.

  • At 1:23 a.m., police reported a theft at Lafayette Road convenience store after the clerk said a male subject went behind the counter and stole something before taking off. The Portsmouth Police K-9 unit was called to the scene to try and track the suspect.
  • At 9:58 a.m., police reported a theft on the Route 1 Bypass southbound after the caller said someone tried to steel some wheels from a motor vehicle.
  • At 3:48 p.m., police reported a theft on Lafayette Road after the caller said someone pumped $60 of gasoline, had their credit card declined and then failed to pay for the gas before they left the scene.
  • At 10:29 a.m., police reported a motor vehicle theft at the Pease Transportation Center on Grafton Drive after the caller said he went to retrieve his car and found it wasn't there.
