Police: Several Gift Cards Stolen from Unlocked Car

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log on Friday, Dec. 27 and Saturday, Dec. 28.

Friday:

• At 9:02 a.m., police reported a two-car accident on Congress Street and Fleet Street without injury.
• At 1:48 p.m., police reported a theft of gift cards from an unlocked vehicle on Woodbury Avenue.
• At 3:04 p.m., police reported criminal mischief on Parrott Avenue after the caller said their vehicle was damaged overnight.
• At 3:33 p.m., police reported a hit and run accident on Maplewood Avenue and Deer Street after the caller said their vehicle was struck by another driver who then left the scene.
• At 5:19 p.m., police reported a theft at a Lafayette Road store after a male subject came in and took $20 worth of lottery scratch tickets. After telling the store clerk he would return to pay for them, he never returned.
• At 8:05 p.m., police arrested a Dover woman who was wanted as a fugitive from justice on Leslie Drive. Kelly Palmer, 22, of 4 East St. was wanted for four bench warrants.

• At 12:36 p.m., police reported criminal mischief at the Parrott Avenue parking lot after a female caller said someone damaged her vehicle's windshield and a front panel.
• At 5:46 p.m., police reported a car versus a pedestrian accident on Hanover and Fleet streets with unknown injury.
• At 6:47 p.m., police reported a two-car accident on Bartlett and Islington streets without injury.
• At 7:57 p.m., police arrested a 17-year-old juvenile who was caught shoplifting at a Woodbury Avenue store. The juvenile was charged with four counts of wilful concealment.
• At 8:19 p.m., police reported a theft at a Lafayette Road store after a male subject ran off with some rolling papers valued at $1.99.
