Police: Store Employee Assaults Customer
Portsmouth Police supplied the following arrest information.

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Wednesday, May 15, to Thursday, May 16.
Wednesday:
- At 7:09 a.m., police reported a non forcible sex offense on Lafayette Road after the caller said a male suspect that spent the night at her residence with her roommates woke up to find the male suspect was forcing himself on one of her roommates.
- At 9:07 a.m., police reported fraud on Lafayette Road after the caller said a person placed an order with a stolen credit card. The first order was shipped to the Bronx in New York City and a second order was halted in New Jersey.
- At 9:35 a.m., police took a 17-year-old juvenile into protective custody after they received a report that the juvenile was truant on South Street.
- At 11:01 a.m., police responded to a four-car accident on the Route 1 Bypass and assisted Stated Police from Troop A.
- At 11:22 a.m., police reported fraud on Lafayette Road after the caller said a male subject had stolen her credit card and attempted to charge $4,000 of merchandise.
- At 12:56 p.m., police reported a simple assault on Greenleaf Avenue after an employee grabbed boxes out of the caller's hands in an aggressive manner. The caller told police that she sustained a cut. The caller said she requested the store to credit her account after other people were putting charges on her account. She told police the employee closed her account and grabbed the boxes she had out of her hands.
- At 5:18 p.m., police reported a theft on Lafayette Road after the caller said someone stole his wallet.
- At 7:17 p.m., police reported a gas drive off theft on the Route 1 Bypass southbound for $15.09.

- At 1:29 a.m., police reported a hit and run accident on Hanover Street that occurred in the High Hanover Parking Garage.
- At 3:17 a.m., police took a 17-year-old juvenile into protective custody who was wanted as a fugitive from justice on Mariette Drive after she was reported as a runaway by Hampton Police.
