Police: Thief Tried to Steal Tree from Woodbury Avenue Home

The following information was provided by the Portsmouth Police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Friday, Oct. 11 to Saturday, Oct. 12.

Friday:

  • At 2:23 a.m., police reported criminal mischief on Langdon Street after the caller said the back window on his car was smashed out.
  • At 11:45 a.m., police reported fraud on Woodbury Avenue after a counterfeit bill was passed.
  • At 2:09 p.m., police reported a theft on Sherburne Road after the caller said they had a video of a woman going through a purse.
  • At 3:24 p.m., police reported a theft on Lincoln Avenue.
Saturday:
  • At 12:42 a.m., police reported disorderly conduct on Marcy Street after the caller said as many as six teens were throwing rocks and stuff at boats docked at Prescott Park.
  • At 1:26 a.m., police reported a fight inside the High Hanover Parking Garage.
  • At 2:46 a.m., police reported criminal mischief on Vaughn Street after the caller said someone threw a now parking sign through the back window of his car.
  • At 11:21 a.m., police arrested a Brighton, Mass., woman following a domestic dispute on Pearl Street. Jackolynn Carey, 25, of 7 Gray Cliff Road was charged with criminal mischief (vandalism).
  • At 11:25 a.m., police reported a theft where someone was trying to steal a tree from someone's yard on Woodbury Avenue.
  • At 7:18 p.m., police reported criminal mischief on Congress Street after the caller said five male subjects were up on the roof and refused to leave.
