Police: Turkey Smashes Through Window

Portsmouth Police supplied the following information.

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Sunday, April 14 through Monday, April 15.

Sunday:

  • At 4:08 p.m., police reported a skateboarding complaint on Gosling Road near the Motel 6 after the caller said there were seven kids skateboarding on people's property.
  • At 4:49 p.m., police arrested a North Berwick, Maine man for drunken driving on Brewery Lane. Philip Byard Hall, 63, of 35 Meader St., Apt. ST, in North Berwick was charged with driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated.

  • At 6:45 a.m., police reported a theft at a Greenland Road construction site after the caller same some copper piping valued at $5,000 was stolen.
  • At 9:50 a.m., police shot and killed a skunk on Cabot and McDonough streets before the animal was disposed of at the city Public Works Department.
  • At 11:03 a.m., police reported a burglary on Maplewood Avenue after the caller said someone kicked the door in and entered their residence.
  • At 11:03 a.m., police reported criminal mischief on Weald Road after the caller said a juvenile damaged her car and placed nails around the car's tires that caused her to have a flat tire.
  • At 11:33 a.m., police reported a theft on Sagamore Avenue after a painter said someone stole $1,500 of tools.
  • At 3:57 p.m., police reported fraud on Anne Avenue after the caller said some scammers tried to get him to give them $1,000.
  • At 4:15 p.m., police arrested a Portsmouth man who was wanted a fugitive from justice on Parrott Avenue. Philip Michael McKenney, 33, of 80 Joan Ave., Apt. 4, was wanted for a bench warrant.
  • At 4:52 p.m., police reported an animal complaint on Hunking Street after the caller reported a sick racoon in her driveway that later died.
  • At 5:52 p.m., police reported a theft of a bicycle valued at $150 on Suzanne Drive.
  • At 5:59 p.m., police reported a simple assault on Peverly Hill Road after the caller said he had a road rage incident where the perpetrator struck his hand before fleeing the scene.
  • At 6:55 p.m., police reported an animal call on Squid Street after the caller said a turkey flew threw her window and smashed the glass. The caller said she shooed the wild animal out the door.
