Bear Sighting on Pearson Street
Portsmouth Police provided the following arrest information.

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log on Tuesday, June 4.
Tuesday:
- At 5:11 a.m., police reported an animal call on Pearson Street after the caller said there was a 100- to 150-pound black bear in his backyard.
- At 7:57 a.m., police reported a burglary on Parrott Avenue.
- At 9:54 a.m., police arrested a Portsmouth man for motor vehicle offenses on South Street and Summit Avenue. John S. Forian, 49, of 181 Greenleaf Ave., Apt. B, was charged with driving after revocation or suspension and having a false inspection or registration sticker.
- At 2:24 p.m., police reported criminal mischief on Andrew Jarvis Drive after the caller said someone broke his vehicle's window.
- At 3:34 p.m., police reported a theft of a child's bicycle on Gosling Road.
- At 4:58 p.m., police reported a theft on Lafayette Road where they recovered some stolen property.
- At 5:12 p.m., police reported a theft of some cash on Wedgewood Road.
- At 6:24 p.m., police reported identity theft on Porpoise Way.
- At 8:11 p.m., police took a walk in report of identity theft on Pearl Street.
- At 9:05 p.m., police arrested a York, Maine man who after he was detained by New Castle Police. Wesley T. Finnemore, 18, of 131 Mill Lane in York, Maine was wanted for receiving stolen property.
