Portsmouth Kids, Parents Swarm Easter Eggs

Hundreds of families kicked off Easter on Saturday by collecting the bounty left by the Easter Bunny in Langdon Park.

Portsmouth area kids (and their parents) wasted little time in collecting every one of the hundreds of brightly colored Easter eggs left by the Easter Bunny in Langdon Park on Saturday.

Regardless of whether it was the pre-schoolers who went first at 10:30 a.m. or children in Kindergarten through second grade that followed at 11:30 a.m., the result was the same - total eggcitement and joy.

Portsmouth Recreation Department workers and volunteers helped the Easter Bunny lay out his colorful bounty of eggs that contained candy and other treasures. They also gave each child some jelly beans, a Tootsie Pop, face painting and plenty of face time with E.B.
